Aubree Haute Chocolaterie Special Tasting and Celebrations

Aubree Chocolaterie is known for artisan chocolates, cakes and boulangerie for almost 8 years and are pure vegetarian in nature. They have also won the prestigious Pattiserie of the year award at last year’s World On A Plate festival for their Orabella Iced Parfait made from Belgian Milk Chocolate. A few of us were invited along with other eminent food enthusiasts to their recently opened Koramangala outlet for a tasting of their savouries and delicacies.

The tasting started with a Belgian Hot Chocolate shot accompanied with Crispy Paneer Fingers. The Paneer was cooked to perfection and the chocolate shot paired well with the dish. A plate of petit desserts comprising of Choco Hazelnut Feast, Key Lime Raspberry Cupcake and Whiskey on the Cocs were also served along with the appetizers to keep the sweet temptation going. This was followed by the very delectable Paneer Rosemary Steak served with a cup of Orange Carrot Soup, another favourite from Aubree’s innovative restaurant menu.

The Mains started with the arrival of the Signature Pizza topped with Paneer and Basil Pesto Green apples. It was however the Vegan Asparagus Penne with Pesto sauce which made me an instant fan of their offerings. The pasta was al dente and the sauce was tossed perfectly with the Asparagus adding to the flavour of the dish. This was followed by Veg Dine, an assortment of marinated vegetables in recs sauce served with rice or millets.

The award winning Orabella Iced parfait was up next and sinful is simply not the word. The final dish of the evening- Dark Raspberry Semifreddo was a diagonally opposite creation with dark chocolate to create sensory explosion to our tatsetbuds, and very rightfully so.

The tasting was also accompanied with the launch of the Cheer Box as part of the International Women’s Day which consists of unique creations from the house of Aubree in a pocket friendly price of INR 599. The launch was attended by eminent personalities from the world of food, fashion and medicine, namely Kajol Bhatia-Mrs. India 2018, Vasundhara JhunJhunwala-Food Entrepreneur and Enthusiast, and Dr. Anita GS-MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology who also is a professor at Bangalore Medical College and Research Hospital. As part of the launch initiative, the cheer box was introduced post a cake-cutting ceremony. The mood of the evening was festive and everybody had a good time tasting the lovely delicacies curated by Aubree. You can order the Cheer Box by visiting this link.

After the event ended, I was able to take a better look at the store and was simply amazed by the variety of offerings they have under the roof. I was impressed with the selection of chocolates, breads, plated desserts, cakes and cookies that are up for grabs. They also specialize in customer designed cakes specific to occasions and a few of them are displayed at the various nook and corner of the store. I was also introduced to Kishore, the man behind the brand and its inception who explained to me their vision and story so far. It was insightful to know about their driving passion and how a small bakery from Sadashivnagar has grown to the brand it is today. Aubree Chocolaterie is soon opening at the Kempegowda International Airport as part of their expansion plan. I am really looking forward to my next visit real soon to this divine destination of desserts right in the heart of Namma Uru.
