Centarom-InterParfums du Bangalore
Bangalore has finally found its own InterParfums, the world’s largest Perfume store at Paris’ Champs Elysees in terms of variety and availability. Centarom, located at Ground Level of UB City boasts of the biggest collection of fragrances from around the world under one roof. The rarest of the rare have made their way to the shelves here.
From the wide range of fragrances, here are my picks for the man in control (in random order of
preference) to wear this summer.
One Million has carved a niche for itself in the luxury retail segment as the ultimate in Men’s Fragrances for the Alpha Metrosexual of today. Blended with Grapefruit, Mint and Blood Mandarin top notes, Cinnamon, Rose and Spice heart notes and base notes of Leather, Amber and Patchouli, this unique fragrance has become the mark of masculinity for many a man in power, and rightfully so.

The New Range of Blend from Davidoff Fragrances keeps the musky fetish of the quintessential male in mind and ups its game with its distinctive Oud notes. With Top Notes of Cinnamon and Black Pepper, Heart Notes of Oud and Balsamic Guaiac Wood and Base notes of Amber sweetened with Benzoin, the Agar Blend is my personal pick amongst the other three-Leather , Amber and Wood Blends.

Le Maison de Givenchy is probably the most avant garde in terms of vision and sense of relevance when it comes to everything couture. Their unique offering- Gentlemen Only Absolut with Top notes of Bergamot, Heart notes of Cinnamon, Saffron and Nutmeg and Base notes of Vanilla and Sandalwood makes it one of the most sought after fragrances for the late evening this season. However the milder classic Gentleman Givenchy can be a more subtle day wear for a formal scenario at work.
No discussion on fragrance is complete without the mention of Cartier. Their latest offering- L’Envol De Cartier is pure elixir to the man who wants to lead. Its unique blend of Musk, Guaiac Wood and Honey leaves a lasting impression and makes one ready to take on the world in his stride. Hence the name L’Envol or The Flight- my ultimate recommendation for all time wear for the exuberant man in charge.

Mr Burberry is the latest from Burberry in the Men’s Fragrances section and Centarom is the only store in Bangalore to stock its entire Bath and Toiletries range along with the fragrances.. Even the neighbouring Burberry flagship store at the UB city does not have it and would direct you to Centarom if required. Its ingredients are inspired by traditional British perfumery with Top notes of Grapefruit, Cardamom and Tarragon. The Heart notes include Birch leaf, Nutmeg oil and Cedar, followed by the Base of Sandalwood, Votive and Guaiac Wood.

Armani Code has defined power and leadership for over a decade and a half now and still stands unchallenged . Refreshing top notes of Lemon and Bergamot and Base notes of Tobacco, Leather and Tonka bean complete this unique identity of the victorious warrior.

Gucci Guilty Pour Homme embodies absolute control and subtle attention. Its Top notes of Lavender and Lemon, Heart notes of Orange flower and Base notes of Cedar wood and Patchouli makes it a tad toned down among the other fragrances for the man of authority known to command attention and respect.
Eros by Versace has been around for almost half a decade now and is known for its uber chic masculine aroma. With Top notes of Mint, Green Apple and Lemon, Heart notes of Tonka Bean, Geranium and Ambroxan and Base notes of Madagascar Vanilla, Vetiver, Oakmoss, Virginian Cedar and Altas Cedar this is one unique fragrance which exudes control.
L’Homme Ideal Sport, the new fragrance from Guerlain is a brand that is only available at Centarom in Bangalore. This new fragrance is the ultimate day wear for the man in move during the summer months of moderate to high humidity and is definitely a head turner.
A new launch from Roberto Cavalli -Uomo introduced in the summer of 2016 finds the final spot in my list of Top 10 fragrances this season for its universal appeal as evening to early midnight wear. With its Top notes of Black Violet and Saffron, Heart notes of Honey and Lavender and Base notes of Cedar wood, I highly recommend this for a casual evening out with friends and colleagues.
