The GreenCarpet Experience @ Signature Club Resort, Brigade Orchards

The Brigade Group is no stranger to Hospitality Services and under the umbrella of BHSL has been operational since 2004. Their newest offering- Brigade Orchards-a 130 acre smart township located near Devanahalli hosts Signature Club, a luxury resort cum lifestyle membership club. This unique property boasts of an in-house Gymnasium, Pool, In-door Badminton and Tennis Courts hosted within its plush green campus. Signature Club is home to 45 well-appointed rooms and suites to cater to the discerning few for a home-away from home experience at very competitive rates with free access to all the facilities it has to offer. The entire property is eco-friendly and hence provides the Green Carpet Experience namely Rain Water Harvesting, Solar Powered Lights, Smart Waste disposals and fresh plantations.

I was part of the esteemed group of bloggers and influencers to spend a day at this serene venue organised by the cheerful Prachi Dhani and Rohit from Madison PR. As we started our journey from the Press Club within the lush greens of Cubbon Park, I was looking forward to a day filled with excitement.

We arrived at our destination in an hour or so, and were welcomed with a traditional teeka and Welcome Drinks. As we proceeded to each of our designated rooms, we were aware of the various activities that were planned out by Prachi to make our stay memorable.

As I showed myself in to Room #202, a chic executive double-bed studio with contemporary décor, I could not help but wonder the sit-out overlooking the Indoor Pool. The room was well-lit and ventilated and fitted with modern amenities to make the weekend getaways comfortable. The in-room dining menu was placed next to the bed table and featured a Multi Cuisine choice of dishes to choose from ranging from Continental to Oriental and Indian favourites.

I took a stroll on the ground floor and checked out the multi-gym at the same floor fitted with all equipment’s to add to the experience. The Pool looked inviting as well as a well-equipped indoor Badminton Court where our activity was planned post luncheon.

The facility holds the Multi-Cuisine Restaurant-Tamarind catering to various types of dishes ranging from Indian to Continental and Asian Favourites. It also hosts a Lounge bar to be operational in some time and an outdoor seating area.

We started our culinary journey with some appetisers ranging from Chicken Tikka, Mushroom Voulez Vous, Chilli Prawns and Paneer Tikka. The Fish Balls were delectable and so were the Minced Lamb in Pita. The Chicken Quiche were succulent and the cheese just melt in my mouth. The Mains comprised of Indian favourites like the traditional Dal Tadka, Palak Paneer and Chicken Tikka Masala served with Rotis and Chicken and Vegetable Biryani. The gooey Walnut Brownie with Butterscotch Ice cream formed the perfect sweet ending.

As we proceed towards the Badminton court, I was merely a spectator to the thrilling match that ensued between the other members. I was happy moving around and taking pictures of this beautiful property and chatting away with Prachi and Rohit. I could not help but notice the in-house Courtyard Café at the Ground Level specialising in Customised cakes and desserts. I was looking forward to our session with the Chef where a live demonstration was to be conducted a little later in the afternoon.

After freshening up, we were served Tea and Coffee along with some snacks like French Fries and Pakodas to set the right mood for the baking demo that was to follow. Chef was demonstrating a cake inspired by the Olympics logo of the 5 rings and was an absolute delight to watch and later bite into.

As evening dawned slowly on this beautiful property, we receded to our respective rooms to pack up. It was a day well-spent in good company and in luscious green serenity hitherto unknown. This is a must check-out for anyone looking for a quick weekend getaway not far from the hustle bustle of Bengaluru amidst nature and its plush greenery.
