Honor View 10-Birth of a Flagship

The launch of the latest flagship from Honor –Honor View 10 was nothing short of extraordinary. The latest flagship from the pioneers in the mobile phone market has recently launched their latest flagship loaded with features which are not only futuristic but are previously unavailable in any phones from other leading giants.

Honor View 10 boasts of the first phone with AI (Artificial Intelligence) built in taking the User Experience to a whole new dimension. The handset optimises itself based on user trends and its built in NPU (Neural-network processing unit) tracks user behaviour making it truly understand the next action.

With the Huawei Kirin 970 AI processor, this phone comes equipped with 6GB RAM and 128 GB ROM expandable to 256 GB via SD card. It is also equipped with the Honor FullView Display (18:9 AR) and measures 5.99 inches with a 3750 mAh battery.

Honor View 10 Camera:

No Review is complete without a mention of View 10’s extraordinary Camera performance in all possible light conditions, Aperture and Shutter Speeds. The Back Camera is a dual sensor with a 16 MP RGB and a 20 MP Monochrome lenses both with f/1.8 aperture. The Front Camera is a 13 MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture with Beauty and Portrait Mode enabled.

The back shooter of the Honor View 10 takes some extraordinary pictures. Below are some examples of natural landscape shots at various times of the late afternoon all the way till Sunset and after.

The following shot is taken under medium light conditions at a high aperture value of 7.0 and thereby captures intricate details of the adjoining beach and the view of the sunset at the horizon.

The Portrait mode produces some amazing bokkeh effects even in low light conditions as is evident in the photo below.

The low light shots are pretty impressive without the use of flash.

The back shooter provides optimal Wide Angle capabilities as evident in the shot below.

Selfies are pretty clear even in low lights conditions when the front in-built flash is set to Auto. The selfies without the front flash are crisp and allows beauty and Portrait mode enablement.

The Camera provides the Monochrome option which can be selected from the Options in the left scroll of the shooting window to produce fabulous black and white shots which require no modifications. The portrait shot below speaks for itself.

The AI Lens setting in the Camera detects 13 pre-set automatic scene types and adjusts the parameters of the shot accordingly to yield the best possible outcome.

Perhaps the most understated feature of the Camera in the new Honor View 10 is its 3D Panorama feature which can only be viewed on the handset and uploaded to the Huawei drive using the phone. This unique feature takes 360 degrees Panoramic shots while shooting and stitches them to perfection. While viewing the phone simply needs to be tiled from left to right to view the shot in 3D effects.

The Camera also allows Motion Sensor to take pictures of objects in motion which can be enabled by clicking the specified icon on the top screen of the live viewfinder.

Please stay tuned for my excusive video on these 2 features.

The Phone is capable of taking 2160 p videos with 30 fps with its primary camera.

The Honor View 10 is capable of Fast Charging (9V/2A) with the provided charger and is also equipped with Smart Power Management features to ensure ease of use.
