Hard Rock Café opens in Whitefield

December 2019 has been significant for the F&B scene in Bangalore. With shutters down on a few iconic venues and intermittent protests owing to the ongoing NRC in the center, it is refreshing to know that all good is not lost when old time favorites decide to make an appearance at new locations. Located at the ground level of the Park Square Ascendas mall, next to ITPL is the second outlet of the Hard Rock Café, Bengaluru.

As part of my experience on an otherwise semi-sultry January afternoon, cocktails will be the first preference with emphasis on venue specials owing to my old school approach to things. So, the Expresso Martini and Golden Margarita were my quench busters for the afternoon alongside their traditional favorites encompassing American delicacies, albeit with a little Indian twist. Noteworthy in this genre is the Amritsari Fish n chips which was an absolute delight. The Famous Fajitas and the Twisted Mac’ n Chicken and Cheese were my picks from the Entrée menu and boy how I have missed them for a while!

My Mains had to be the iconic BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger which satiated my taste buds with its succulent and juicy steak inside the buns for the rest of the afternoon. If my appetite allowed, I would order one more blindfolded. Remember its Buffalo, not Cow!

The ultimate showstopper of the afternoon arrived in a very tall diva-esque glass titled the Hot Brownie Fudge and just like it sounds was desire served up front with all sins mixed therein. Every bite is so decadent of this exotic masterpiece, eating this without making obscene noises can almost be a challenge to some. Just kidding! There were no children around, but they are allowed inside the family section, so order it at your own risk. The Homemade Apple Cobbler is another hot favorite to the more anglicized taste buds. An overall meal here will cost you around 3000INR ++ for 2, and another couple of grands with a round of cocktails but the experience and the ambience-Priceless!
